HML featured on Art Et Al.

Coinciding with her Spring 2023 residency at Interact Gallery, fiber artist HML was recently interviewed by Jennifer Gilbert of Art Et Al., an inclusive, curated international platform. Gilbert is also the Founder and Curator at Jennifer Lauren Gallery, which champions and works with disabled, self-taught, neurodivergent, and overlooked artists.

Gilbert first became aware of HML's wearable soft sculptures when she and co-curators Lisa Slominski and Terence Wilde selected one of them for inclusion in Art | Unlocked | Unearthed, an online exhibition in Summer 2020. "Fellow selectors and I not only were intrigued by the suit itself, but by the deep meaning behind it and the powerful message it held," writes Gilbert.
